The Lagoon 400 S2

Lagoon 400 S2 is the latest 40 feet catamaran. Like its predecessors, the Lagoon 400 S2 is designed for coastal or ocean cruises. It can comfortably accommodate 8 with its 4 double cabins, elegantly fitted, spacious interior, and her cockpit and salon on the same level. The Lagoon 400 truly shows the know-how acquired by the yard since it began operations in 1984. Balance is the keyword, between volume and performance. Also, the harmony of soft lines is reminiscent of the famous Lagoon 410’s simplicity and inspired by the Lagoon 620’s charm and elegance.

The Exterior

Hard top bimini in line with the cabin top for a better protection from the sun (streamlined, more aesthetic). Easy to move around stern, offering more shelter, while all controls have been brought back to the helm station. The 400 S2 ticks all the practical boxes too: its safe to move around and easy to sail from the well positioned helm station. Engines are remote from the cabins and offer excellent sound proofing as does the generator compartment. Propulsion is aft of the rudders providing greater performance and efficiency.

The Interior

Nauta Design was tasked with redesigning the interior of the 400 and the result is the stunning 400S2. The 400S2 is a warmer with a more comfortable feel, which has been achieved by the use of more wood and fewer white fiberglass surfaces. The new Alpi wood veneer has a deeper, richer grain pattern and the overall look is fresh and stylish. The saloon/galley layout make much better use of the available space. The main fuse panel is now behind the galley console, allowing the electrical panel (as it was before) to house a chest freezer without compromising the storage space in the galley area. The dining table has the provision for seating on three sides, which is more social than the previous L-shaped arrangement. Below, the aft double beds have been widened at the foot, with a step on one side for easy access.
